21 Things to Put on Your European Bucket List
A bucket list helps inspire us to go places and do things we find fulfilling. And after writing a South American bucket list, I felt inspired to write another– this time for Europe. Take a look at some activities and adventures that you won’t want to miss:
- Enjoy a glass of wine in Tuscany.
- Explore the inside of La Sagrada de Familia in Barcelona, Spain. The architecture of this magnificent church will take your breath away.
- Take an Instagram-able picture near the Lennon Wall in Prague, Czech Republic.
- Take a ride down the canals in Amsterdam.
- See some incredible nature in Iceland. This unique country has so much to offer, ranging from national parks to lagoons to whale watching.
- Go island-hopping in Greece.
- Take a road trip through the Balkan States.
- See the Northern Lights in either Iceland, Finland, Sweden or Norway.
- Spend a week on a boat during Yacht Week in Croatia.
- Take a bath in the famous, Hungarian baths. Budapest has many different thermal pools to choose from.
- Party at Carnival in San Gimignano, Italy. It’s one crazy parade!
- Do something adventurous in Interlaken, Switzerland. There are many outdoor activities to choose from, such as skydiving, paragliding, bungee-jumping and more.
- Check out the beautiful greenery in Ireland.
- Spend a day in Gibraltar, home to the United Kingdom. It’s a tiny place right next to Spain where you can get a unique glimpse into British life.
- For all the Harry Potter lovers, visit platform nine and three-quarters in London.
- Around the holidays, shop around in a German Christmas market.
- Spend endless hours in the Louvre, one of the most famous art museums in the world.
- Take a ski trip to the Alps.
- Try to spot the Loch Ness monster in Scotland.
- Take in the scenery by visiting the fjords in Norway.
- And despite being stereotypical, you just can’t leave Europe without visiting the Eiffel Tower.
